Montblanc released two new limited edition watches that honor women in early June. These watches must be seen to be believed — their innovative designs stunned us at Supreme Auctions and we needed to share them with you.

The first is the Bohème Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 88. It comes in a 38-mm 18-karat white gold case set with 58 Top Wesselton diamonds along the bezel. The piece features a patented perpetual calendar mechanism that shows the date, date, month, leap year, a second time zone display, a 24-hour display, and a day and night indicator. It is one of the most readable perpetual calendars on the market and one of the most unique of its kind. All of that is overlaid on top of a stunning starry night sky dial with new Aventurine glass

To complete the picture, the watch has a blue alligator strap with an 18-karat white-gold pin buckle set. Designed with precision, the watch only requires adjustment once every 122 years.

For those in the luxury real estate auction industry like we are, or for avid travelers, these features are must-haves to help you stay on time and on track, no matter where in the world you are.

The full design is meant to compliment a woman’s confidence, creativity and is for those who are always true to themselves. The Bohème Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 88 is $35,000.

The Bohème Day & Night 34 mm

Montblanc is also releasing the Bohème Day & Night 34 mm. At a lower cost of $3,535, this watch features an 18-karat rose gold bezel set presented in a stainless steel bracket. It is a bi-color model to fit most tastes. Both styles showcase 72 Top Wesselton diamonds.

You can also get the model in a 30 mm size with different straps as well with a bund strap without a clasp for $3,590.

Both watches are available now. You can find the Montblanc Bohème Day & Night 34 mm model on Montblanc. The Montblanc Bohème Perpetual Calendar Limited 88 is exclusively available at the watchmaker’s boutiques.

About Montblanc

Montblac has been delivering excellence for over 160 years. From the very beginning, Montblanc strived for nothing less than perfection. Their products are lifestyle companions designed to accompany you and future generations to come.

For watchmakers, Montblanc is one of the finest out there. They combine centuries of collected knowledge and experiences to bring their signature timepieces to life. Designed in Villeret and Le Locle Sweden, Montblanc watchmakers put their pride, passion, and soul into each piece using skills that have been handed down through generations.

MontBlanc’s History as Fine Watchmakers

For a complete history of Montblanc, we must look back to 1858 in Saint-Imier Valley. The founder, Charles-Yvan Robert, created the first watch workshop in the Minerva era. Today, Minerva is home of the Montblanc location in Villeret.

In the early 1880s, the location started to specialize in pocket watches that could be wound without a crown — an invention that was created just 40 years earlier in Switzerland and weren’t popularized until much later in the 1800s. In fact, Montblanc was one of the first to commercialize pocket watches that could be wound without a separate key.

These innovative timepieces pushed Minerva’s early success and expansion. In the early 1900s, Minerva attracted the attention of numerous collectors due to Montblanc’s success. The timepieces were quickly featured in various world exhibitions of the time and won prestigious awards.

Following that, Montblanc started to develop monopusher chronographs, which are watches with stopwatches built into it. They feature one pusher — hence the “monopusher” — which is used to control the stopwatch and reset the watch. A chronograph was a common design at the time, though Montblanc took it one step further with their monopusher design.

Again, their innovative timepiece gained recognition for its precise chronometry and it quickly thrust Montblanc into the spotlight as a leading specialist in the fabrication of professional watches and stopwatches.

Their journey continued throughout the 20th century with multiple achievements, innovative patents and trailblazing timekeeping technology. All of this culminated in Montblanc creating highly precise watches and pocket watches that kept time exact to the 1/100th of a second.
