Supreme Auctions Certified Auction Agent,  Natalie Swanson of Coldwell Banker Apex in Dallas, TX., took five minutes with Supreme Auctions to answer five insightful questions about her real estate career.

1. What motivated you to become a real estate agent with a focus on the luxury sector?

After my husband and I bought our first home together, made significant upgrades and consequently making a nice profit, we decided we would continue to buy and sell houses to make a profit. After selling our fourth house (in 10 years), I became a realtor. I made the luxury home market my goal because I love the challenge that selling a luxury home presents and finding the perfect owner for such special houses.

2. What is your favorite part about being a luxury real estate agent?

I love being a luxury real estate agent because I have never seen the same thing twice. For instance, I have seen a closet with rotating clothing racks like at the dry cleaners, a private room hidden behind bookshelves, 4 ovens in one kitchen, and a sparkling, beautiful, infinity edge swimming pool.

3. What is the most interesting high-end property you have ever sold and why?

The most interesting high-end property I sold was was a beautiful, custom home which sat high on a hill, overlooking a creek. This home had five, huge 100 year old live oaks scattered throughout the yard. It had a kitchen with a wall of floor to ceiling windows overlooking a sparkling, pool surrounded by palm trees, hydrangeas, and flowering hibiscus. The kitchen was a chef’s dream with high- end stainless steel appliances, white cabinets with glass fronts, and the most beautiful granite that looked like a stormy sky over the ocean.

4. Why did you decide to become a Certified Auction Agent and take the course with Supreme Auctions?

My company, Coldwell Banker Apex, hosted a Global Luxury summit in Dallas. I had already become a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist and wanted to expand my knowledge in the luxury home market. The founders of Supreme Auctions, Jennie Heal and Maverick Commins, gave a presentation that intrigued me with new, exciting, and creative ways to sell unique, high end properties.

5. What was a fun, or interesting fact you took away from the Supreme Auctions Certified Auction Agent course?

Not only did I enjoy the excitement that Supreme Auctions conveyed during the agent course, but I loved that they become a true partner during the selling process. They help create specialized marketing for each property.
